Yes, sometimes people are just a-holes. The lady I dealt with was one of them.
But she was also mean. Really mean.
Whatever kind of day she was or was not having, was none of my concern. How she was treating me, and the situation at hand, was my concern.
The lady at Walgreens jumped into something she knew nothing about. This lady knew exactly what was going on. She just chose to ignore the reason I was there and instead push other things like her “property boundaries.” She can eat it.

It sucks! For sure but I think your missing the oother side to it. I was at Walgreens after a 12 hour car ride- ‘my kids were at the end of their rope. I had left my medication that I needed to take (very important and can’t be late for). I called my insInsurance for a vacation refill. I had it sent to that Walgreens. I proceeded to call that Walgreens three times while we were on the road to in sure that they have the prescription had it verified had my NEW insurance (I had used that pharmacy when I lived in Memphis). I was told it was ready for me to pick up when I got there. When I arrived it was not ready to be picked up. And they had run it under an old insurance. Also they claim that now they had to verify the vacation refill because technically it wasn’t up for referral. I was livid and I had every right to be. I was not rude but I was very direct with what needed to be done. A woman walked up to me and started berating me. She knew nothing of my situation. After about 30 more minutes it got worked out. But I had every right to be direct and Curt with the people who failed to do their job while my kids were screaming in the car. I guess there are always different ways to handle things. She could have come up to me and said ” I can see this is very stressful for you, what can I do to help”. Instead she chose to make a situation worse. I guess my point is – there is always more going on than we sometimes think. Sometimes people are just assholes, sometimes people have a bad day for a good reason or not. But I am trying ( I don’t always succeed) to make their situation better.

What a story. You’re amazing! While that was happening to you, the girls and I stopped at the Krogers near you. We were playing a game….they each needed to pick 2 healthy foods in 2 minutes…they got excited, but we’re not rowdy…a mean lady yelled at us…”You are in a store! So what?
I should have done more, but only gave her a shocked look. All I did was say to the girls loudly….” She definitely got up on the wrong side of the bed”. You shamed your mother with this story. I should have said more to the mean, mean lady.
