I can’t remember having “playdates” as a kid…we just played with the kids of my parents’ friends. “Go play” they said. Now we’re so worried about kids social ‘development’ that we’re stressing about playdates for our wee ones. Good grief.

And yes, drop-n-go. My neighbor friend and I ‘borrow’ each other’s kids all the time or we’d never get anything done.

Excellent ruminations in your post. And don’t get me started on the kids that can’t stay without mom…. I might have to send you something privately on that subject, lest I have bricks thrown at my virtual head!
