The CIT’s are Rock Stars. Exactly. Perfect way to describe them. When they show up somewhere, as a group, I feel like there should be theme music and some slo-mo action.

And maybe someone should be holding a ghetto blaster, except it’s not 1985 🙁

I met a couple of my closest friends at camp. And totally agree, the older you are, the cooler you are to everyone else. CIT’s are like rockstars to the littler ones. I was staff (babysitter and nurses aide) at camp (I was 16 and 17). The little kids used to follow me around. It was so cute! The one thing that shocked me, more so now when I think back…my first summer as staff, I was housed in the youngest girls cabin. They were in 1st grade…babies…and they were sent to camp for the ENTIRE SUMMER. Which, I believe, is why so many of the little ones latched onto me (even though I never really liked kids all that much). They were looking for a mommy figure away from home. Anywhoo..yeah.
