Dim Sum and Doughnuts

A little SUMthing about growing up, making mistakes and happy endings.

My Biggest Adoption Mistake

June 27, 2016

There’s an organization called Adoptimist that “connects expectant mothers and hopeful families considering adoption.” I wrote a piece for them not too long ago and they asked me to write another one.

The piece is called “My Biggest Adoption Mistake.”

Truth be told, I thought they were going to have issues with the piece so it wasn’t completely proofed when I sent it to them.

There’s a funny picture missing from the piece and there are some glaring grammatical errors I wish I could have fixed.

What are you gonna do though, right? It is what it is.

The link is below if you want to check it out. It brought back a lot of memories when I wrote this piece, and if you adopted, almost adopted, or have just been part of the DS+D family, it will probably do the same for you. 🙂

Here you go, yo:

Thank you for being here! It means the world to us, and if this is your first post, we hope you look around a little bit!

XOXO,

The DS+D crew

I agree 100%. We told a few family members and friends and every single day we got grilled for updates! It was exhausting. Love my adoption tribe, they get it!

I love that you call them your adoption tribe. Did you get that from us (that’s what we say) or did you always call them your tribe? I also love that you get it. I never know for sure if people get what the hell I’m trying to say, so after a full day of wondering, you just sealed it. Thank you for being here. You’re very cool.
